The client wanted to identify key suppliers of key raw materials and develop a supplier selection scorecard for shortlisting ideal purchasing partners based in China.
Approach: Developed Recommendations on the key selection parameters, developed a supplier scorecard with details of key suppliers
We leveraged our local presence and market understanding in China to identified and shortlisted the most prominent Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for selecting raw material manufacturers and conducted a deep-dive assessment of capabilities of the major suppliers to develop supplier scorecards. We also did an industry best practices assessment to understand and recommend the client on the key parameters that they might have to consider while selecting the right supplier.
Impact: Client leveraged the understanding of supplier landscape and key selection parameters, to qualify the best suppliers for the RFP stage
The client was able to assess the capabilities of suppliers and shortlist them based on key factors such as price, capabilities, usability, ease of implementation, and after sales service. The shortlisted suppliers were invited for an RFP submission.
